The current 992-generation Porsche 911 receives a mid-cycle refresh for the 2025 model year, but not every model in the diverse 911 lineup has been launched in updated form.
The latest is the 2025 911 Carrera T, which was revealed on Tuesday and is available to order for delivery next summer. Prices start at $135,995 for the coupe and $149,295 for the convertible, a body style which is being offered in Carrera T form for the first time. Both prices include a $1,995 destination charge.

The Carrera T is a successor to the original 911 T introduced in 1968. The “T” stands for touring, and as such as the car is very much about driving pleasure, as opposed to incredible track times.
The engine is the same as in the regular 2025 Carrera, meaning a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-6 generating a peak 388 hp, or enough for 0-60 mph acceleration in 4.3 seconds (4.5 seconds for the convertible). The top speed is a little over 180 mph.

The sole transmission is a new 6-speed manual that uses the first six ratios of the 7-speed manual in the pre-updated 992-generation Carrera. As a retro touch, the shifter is topped with open-pore walnut.
The transmission also comes with a rev-match feature that automatically blips the throttle on downshifts to ensure smoother gear changes. The feature is part of the Sport Chrono package which Porsche fits as standard on the Carrera T, and the driver can disable it if desired. A sport exhaust system is also included as standard, and according to Porsche delivers a nicer sound than the stock system.
Like the original 911 T, the modern car benefits from a lightweight, sport-tuned chassis. The manual transmission helps to save weight, along with lightweight glass and reduced sound deadening material. Various carbon-fiber-reinforced-plastic parts can also be swapped in to further save weight, like the sport bucket seats. The lightest version of the Carrera T weighs 3,316 pounds.
Chassis upgrades include active dampers and suspension lowered 10 millimeters compared to the stock Carrera. The updated Carrera range also benefits from upgraded brakes, including the Carrera T. There are now six-piston calipers on the front axle instead of the four-piston calipers used previously, and they clamp down on bigger rotors that measure 13.8 inches front and rear. Rear-wheel steering, torque vectoring, and revised tuning for the anti-roll bars are also featured.
Porsche offers 12 paint colors in combination with gray accents specific to this model. A special Carrera T exterior package is also available. It adds blue accents to several parts of the car's exterior, including the wheels which measure 20 inches up front and 21 inches in the rear, and come wrapped in 245/35-size tires up front and 305/30-size tires at the rear.
The interior also has some features that are exclusive to the Carrera T. One of these adds blue accent stitching, as well as additional blue accents on the dash, center console, Sport Chrono block, and the 911 logo on the headrests. Some retro touches like plaid seat trim are also available.
Updated versions of the regular Carrera models were unveiled in May, and the updates include a new hybrid powertrain for the Carrera GTS models. The updated GT3 and GT3 Touring were shown in October, though the changes made on those models are relatively simple.
Porsche is still cooking up updates for the 911 GT3 RS and 911 Turbo. The updated versions of those models are expected to arrive for the 2026 model year. In the case of the 911 Turbo, a hybrid powertrain is expected to be added to the Turbo S.
