The 2025 Land Rover Defender lineup adds a new special edition inspired by surf and sun.

Limited to just 20 units, the Beach Break model adds Tasman Blue paint, a white roof, 20-inch wheels (with all-terrain tires), and unique trim-color graphics to the Land Rover Defender 110 for a retro look that's hard not to compare to the Ford Bronco Sport Free Wheeling special edition from the 2024 model year.

The interior features upholstery "robust enough to counter the beach elements," according to JLR. Rubber mats for the floor and cargo area should also make it easier to get sand out of the interior.

The Beach Break edition also includes roof cross bars, fixed side steps, mud flaps, and exterior "gear boxes" mounted just forward of the rear roof pillars. Those boxes are among the more unusual styling features of the current-generation Defender, which was introduced for the 2020 model year.

The special edition uses a 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine producing 296 hp—the same as other Defender models. Land Rover also offers a 3.0-liter turbo-6 mild hybrid powertrain rated at 395 hp and a supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 rated at either 493 hp or 518 hp on other versions of the Defender. For 2025, the Defender Octa performance flagship also joins the lineup with a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 and mild-hybrid system making 626 hp.

The Beach Break costs $73,325 with the mandatory $1,475 destination charge. For comparison, the standard four-door Defender 110 is priced from $62,275. The two-door Defender 90 starts at $58,375, while the stretched Defender 130 is priced from $71,175. The other models receive small changes for 2025, including new option packages that group popular features.
